Rubi Patricia is a beautiful soul and a talented artist. Her work has a dreamlike essence, inviting you to step into a world of antiquities, rituals and folktales. This world feels like an inner sanctuary of Rubi's life and musings. Rubi approached me to work on her branding and translate that onto her website so that she could share her work with an audience and potential buyers as she exhibits her collections globally.

The artist of inner sanctuaries beckons you to explore a world of antiquities, ritual and folktales
Objective and goals
Rubi's brand needed to showcase her work in a way that beckoned the viewer to enter this curious world of beauty. Therefore every aspect of the brand needed to feel personal and allow the viewer to have a deeper connection back to Rubi and the world she creates through her art.
Her website needed to feel special, like a sanctuary for deeper reflection and pondering rather than a marketplace or shop for her work since this is how her ideal customer and audience loved to find and connect with her.
Stylescape & Creative Direction
Inspired by ancient words, stories, paintings, relics and sacred sites that reminded Rubi of her childhood and home.
The Design
Strategy and results
For Rubi's branding, we worked with Rubi to create icons illustrated by her and a hand-drawn signature for her logo. We refined the signature logo for various applications. We loved creating an alternative, angled version of the logo signature for a more dramatic look.
We paired the colour palette to match Rubi's artwork to bring the various elements to the viewer's attention. The website was designed to feel like a storybook, with subtle textured backdrops, an antique style, centred typographic styling and hover animations that bring her artwork into view as the user scrolls through the pages.
